台南市後壁區一座蛋雞場20日晚間發生大火，起火點初判在3層樓高的泡棉隔板，消防局獲報後出動人車到場救援，部署大量水線進行搶救，好險搶救得宜，2樓飼養的8000多隻蛋雞躲過火舌，不致淪為「烤雞」的命運。
據了解，這座蛋雞場當場就投入5000多萬資金，以人道飼養為訴求，3層樓的廠房都可以養雞，目前2樓約有8000隻蛋雞在昨晚的大火中倖存。

消防局指出，20日晚間獲報指出該處養雞場發生火警，立即派遣大批人車前往搶救，一時間20多輛擠滿狹小的產業道路，警消趕抵現場後率先發現頂樓冒煙，後來出現火舌，警消立即佈水線近80公尺入內進行灌救，同時進行排煙，所幸火勢沒有延燒的跡象，直到晚間11點多火勢獲得控制。
