位在宜蘭礁溪四結路的金紙工廠，昨（20）日傍晚6時許突然發生火警，倉庫裡擺放大量金紙易燃物，並且疑似有炮竹類物品存放在金紙倉庫內。火勢不僅越燒越猛，過程中更是幾度閃出火光，第一時間目擊的民眾想要救火，但已經來不及。
目擊民眾表示，「我們想說下來看有沒有東西，趕快把它滅掉，我過去的時候已經溫度很高，旁邊還有一台摩托車，我想去把摩托車牽過來，已經熱到我沒辦法靠近了。」
消防人員佈多條水線全面灌救，並且出動大型機具破門，發現因為現場高溫，導致內部鐵皮軟化，裡頭的貨架也倒了一片，直到晚間8時許還在持續悶燒。
消防隊利用紅外線鏡頭探勘火點滅火，業者懷疑是有人亂丟菸蒂，才會不慎引燃堆置在外頭的雜物，讓火勢一發不可收拾，所幸現場無人受困傷亡。實際起火原因和財損估計，還有待火調人員進一步調查。
